The Green Path: How to move from knowing plants to being in relationship with them

A quiet revolution in how we see the living world.
You’ve learned how to identify wild plants.
You know their names.
You know what’s edible.
But something in you still aches.
For something deeper.
Something real.
The Green Path begins where most foraging courses end.
It’s not about knowing more.
It’s about knowing differently.
From recognition to relationship.
Most people stop at the label.
Meadowsweet. Plantain. Chickweed.
But the label is not the thing.
The name is not the encounter.
This course is an invitation to step beyond intellectual knowing and into a lived, felt connection with the plants you already recognise.
Because plants are not resources.
They are kin.
The world is loud.
Plants don’t shout.
They take time.
This isn’t a course about acquiring more book knowledge.
It’s not about facts, lists, or Latin names.
It’s about learning to slow down.
To pay close attention.
To notice what’s right in front of you, but often overlooked.
The Green Path offers a shift in how you see and relate to the plants you already know.
“I found the Green Path incredibly helpful and found the exercise fascinating. I will be doing this with all the plants in the future. It’s given me a new perspective on foraging and on nature.” – Kathy Zablotzky
What you’ll learn on The Green Path.
Over seven short audio lessons, you’ll be guided through:
- How to move beyond identification and into a genuine relationship with plants
- How to use your senses (not just your eyes) to understand a plant’s presence
- How to sit with a plant the way you’d sit with a trusted friend
- How to shift from head to body, from analysis to attention
- How to be changed by a plant, not just informed by it
This is not a fact-based course.
It’s a practice-based one.
You won’t leave with more knowledge.
You’ll leave with more connection.

About Robin Harford

I’m a British forager and founder of Eatweeds, a leading online resource on wild plants and foraging. I began teaching in 2008.
My work weaves together contemplative ecology and wild wellbeing.
Grounded in the idea that true nourishment comes not just from eating plants or using them as medicine, but from being fully present with them.
I focus on slowing down; on learning to notice, to listen, and to build relationship with the more-than-human world.
Over the years, I’ve travelled across Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Europe and the USA, documenting traditional uses of wild food plants in local and Indigenous cultures.
